2013, Brighter days ahead
On the eve of a new year, we have much to be thankful for and many questions gone unanswered.
I am grateful for the health and safety of my friends and family. I feel pretty good about the coming year and what it may bring. I am deeply disappointed in our elected officials who have brought us to the brink of the fiscal cliff with just a few hours remaining to solve the problem and they seem incapable of getting it done.
On Election Day, when I saw the name Roseanne Barr on the ballot for president, I made the decision to vote for my friend Spyder McCluskey. I thought if it’s going to be a farce, let it be a grand farce. I then proceeded to vote for every challenger; a ceremonious vote against all incumbents.
I think maybe that is what is now called for. Thomas Jefferson spoke of voter revolution more than 200 years ago and we still have the right and obligation to turn the bastards out if they are not fulfilling the will of the populace.
I think the voice of Americans is loud and clear. We want change. We want cooperation. We want progress. We don’t give a crap if you get re-elected to your self aggrandizing, entitlement laden position as a legislator. If you can’t do the job… get out.
Well, now that I have that off my chest I feel better… one more thing I have to be happy about on the eve of this New Year.
Happy New Year everyone, from your friends at Bolognabrain.com
